Visitor Information
Visiting Hours
General visiting hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily. Visiting hours are established for the well-being of the patient. Several hospital departments have special visiting hours and requirements. These are listed below.
When you are visiting a patient, please stop at the Information Desk to verify the patient's room number. On behalf of the patient, we recommend no more than two visitors per patient at one time.
When the patient's door is closed, please ask the nurse if it's all right to knock. The patient may be sleeping or seeing the doctor. If a doctor or nurse comes in during your visit, please ask if you should step outside and wait in the hallway.
Age of Visitors
In most hospital areas, visitors should be 14 or older. Young children are discouraged from visiting patients because they carry more communicable diseases and are more susceptible to organisms in the hospital environment. For the child's and the patient's protection, contact is limited.
Exceptions: Visiting privileges may be granted to children due to special circumstances or the patient's condition. Permission should be obtained from the physician or nurse on duty.

- During the patient's surgery, visitors will be asked to wait in our Surgical Lounge. Staff will notify the visitor upon the patient's return to the unit.
