The Imaging department at Bluffton Regional offers a full array of services; and all of our equipment is digital. Routine x-rays, fluoroscopy, mammography, MRI, CT, and ultrasound are available as well as nuclear medicine testing.
We have 32-slice CT scanner and a 1.5 Tesla mixed MRI system. Our mammography department is equipped with Indiana's first GE full-field digital mammography unit. General radiology examinations are performed on two Philips digital units, allowing superior image quality in a fraction of the time previously needed. In 2007, we acquired a new Toshiba ultrasound machine that has 3-D capabilities which will allow ultrasound technologists the capability of volume imaging and can be utilized for obstetrics, as well as other areas. Also in 2007, we obtained a Philips digital nuclear medicine camera. This dual-head camera allows the patient more comfort while giving the technologists higher quality pictures at a faster rate. Digital radiography, three-dimensional ultrasound and the digital nuclear medicine camera are on the forefront of technological advancements in diagnostic imaging.
All equipment in the department is fully accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
The hospital is also equipped with the digital imaging storage software Picture Archival Communications Systems (PACS). This links the entire Lutheran Health Network and allows doctors to access digital image files at any location.
Appointments for imaging can be made through our scheduling department at (260) 919-3830.
