Michael R. White Honored As Bluffton Regional Associate of the Year

Bluffton, IN—Bluffton Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that Michael R. White has been selected by his peers as the Associate of the Year.  White has been employed at Bluffton Regional as an Environmental Services Project Attendant since May 2000.

The Associate of the Year award was instituted at the hospital in 2007.  Associates may nominate someone as Associate of the Month, and the Reward and Recognition Team selects a person to be honored each month.  At the end of a year, all hospital associates are asked to select the Associate of the Year from the pool of the twelve Associates of the Month.

Brandon Haushalter, Bluffton Regional Chief Executive Officer, had this to say about White, “We are fortunate to have Mike as a part of our team.  He takes great pride not only in our organization as a whole but also in the specific tasks of his job – tasks which are often thankless but of the utmost importance to maintaining a clean, safe environment.  He is truly committed to serving patients, families, visitors, physicians, and fellow associates.”

In addition to his regularly assigned duties, White has served as a member of the Service Recovery Committee, Code Strong Team, and the Bluffton Regional Wellness Warriors Relay for Life team. 

“I’m very proud to work at Bluffton Regional Medical Center,” said White.  “It feels good to work in a company that has been an important part of the Bluffton community my whole life.  The people there are a dedicated team that serves the good of the community, and I am proud to be part of that.”

In nominating White for Associate of the Month, a co-worker said, “Mike is a true professional; he provides his services selflessly and is always seeking additional ways to be helpful.  Mike’s attitude, work ethic and commitment to customer service are behaviors that perfectly align with the standards of performance at Bluffton Regional Medical Center.  We are proud of Mike’s accomplishments and his commitment to excellence; we are lucky to have him as an associate, and as importantly, as a friend.”
